In 2009 we see changes every day. The top picture shows a couple where the woman is laying down and reading the news paper while the man is cleaning.
Below that picture, is another ad that shows the father staying at home to take care of the baby while the mom is out working a 9-5 job.

1990 Gender Role Ads

Above you can see a group of men, in a singing group, who clearly are wearing very tight, feminine like, clothing.

To the left, we see that women can also partake in jobs that men can do.

1970-1989

Above we can see 2 comparisons of how things were before the 1970's and how they were during the 1970's. These show that although woman can do jobs working side by side with men, they are still feminized.

Gender Roles- The Last 50 years

1950-1969

In these 2 pictures you can see that when it comes to gender roles, it is stricly men do male related jobs and women do female related jobs. The picture below shows a woman drinking a coca cola after a hard days cleaning. To the left, you can see a list for help wanted that requires the men to be strong and manly and recruitment for "sexy" secretaries.
